IMG Stop Loss, Inc. (IMG-SL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of International Medical Group®, Inc. As a managing general underwriter for stop-loss insurance plans, IMG-SL determines risk, issues policies and pays claims on behalf of the carrier we represent. IMG-SL is the only underwriter whose standards have earned the financial backing of Delos Insurance Company.
In 1974, Jeff Brougher pioneered a concept unheard of in
the insurance industry - self-funded insurance plans for small to
medium-sized businesses. Until then, only large corporations were able to
afford the staff it took to maintain a self- funded plan. ERISA opened
the doors for smaller companies to self-fund by changing the regulations
for self-funded businesses. Mr. Brougher created innovative, flexible
stop-loss insurance plans to help small business enjoy the benefits of
self-funding while controlling their risk exposure.
Throughout the next decade, Brougher's company was
widely recognized for its industry leadership, as it became the largest
managing general underwriter of stop-loss insurance in the U.S. for
several years. The company provided employers with as few as 11 employees
with the cost savings and plan control offered by self-funding.
Today, the Broughers continue their tradition of
